The standard is the standard.

QBA hires for professionalism, judgment, reliability, discipline, coachability, and the ability to perform. A license may qualify someone for an assignment. It does not entitle anyone to a position.

How We Build the Team

Hire hard. Develop aggressively. Correct quickly. Remove decisively when the standard is not met.

Selection is the beginning, not the finish line. Every QBA position has a defined standard, and every member of the organization is expected to maintain it. Advancement is earned through demonstrated performance—not tenure for its own sake.

Security Officer Career Paths

Built for progression. Earned by performance.

QBA considers both licensed and unlicensed candidates. Strong candidates can enter the organization, develop through QBA training and licensing pathways, and advance as they prove capability.

Advancement

Time in position does not guarantee advancement.

Advancement is earned through QBA’s performance system, required training, demonstrated proficiency, supervisor review, and continued ability to meet the standard.

Performance

Consistent execution of assignment duties and measurable adherence to QBA expectations.

Professional Development

Continued growth appropriate to the classification and step being pursued or maintained.

Proficiency

Demonstrated competence—not merely possession of a credential.

Readiness

Evidence that the officer can handle the responsibility associated with the next step or leadership opportunity.

Health Benefits

Required Tools & Training

QBA provides or supports required uniforms, equipment, licensing, and internal training according to position and assignment.

What We Look For

Potential matters. Standards matter more.

Existing licensure can be valuable, but it is not a substitute for performance. QBA would rather develop a hungry, professional candidate than reward complacency simply because someone has held a license for years.

  • Clear verbal and written communication
